Juventus, in Group G of the Champions League alongside Barcelona, Dynamo Kyiv, and Ferencvaros, excluded the German Sami Khedira from their UEFA Champions League squad on Monday.

Khedira, who remains in the squad despite the new manager Andrea Pirlo not counting on him, will not play in the Champions League after he was excluded from the official list of 23 players for the tournament.

Someone who is on it is Juventus’ latest signing, the winger Federico Chiesa, signed on transfer deadline day from Fiorentina.

The Turin side will start their Champions League campaign, a competition that they haven’t won since 1996, on 20th October against Dynamo Kyiv and will face Barcelona in Turin on 28th October.

The return fixture against the Spanish side will be on 8th December at Camp Nou.
