Marcelo, key in Real Madrid’s triumph at San Mames, got his 350th Real Madrid win, the club said.

Marcelo got his 350th Real Madrid victory after ‘Los Blancos’ win at Athletic Bilbao thanks to a Sergio Ramos penalty.

Marcelo got a commemorative shirt in the dressing room after the win and it was given to him by the club’s president Florentino Perez.

Real Madrid’s president was given a framed photo of Real Madrid’s last trip to the old San Mames which was on 14th April 2013. That was given to Perez by Aitor Elizegi, Athletic Bilbao’s president, and Real won that game 0-3.

The Brazilian, the club’s vice-captain, made his Real Madrid debut on 7th January 2007 in a game against Deportivo. In more than 13 years at the club he has made 509 appearances and won 21 titles. Four Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three Spanish Super Cups, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and four UEFA Super Cups.

In the match at Athletic Bilbao this Sunday, Marcelo was brought down by Dani Garcia and referee Jose Luis Gonzalez Gonzalez gave the spot kick after a VAR review.

Sergio Ramos made no mistake and Real Madrid won 0-1. It was Madrid’s seventh win in a row and Zidane’s men took another step towards the La Liga title.
