Download Arkadiusz Milik Had Countless Offers To Leave Napoli This Summer
The striker, who is yet to open his account this season for the Italian giants, hasn’t been registered to play in Serie A or the Coppa Italia.
Arkadiusz Milik has, at first glance, finished recent seasons with good scoring numbers. The striker scored 20 and 14 respectively and attracted attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
At the end of last season though, everything began to change. The player turned down a new contract with Napoli, with his current one due to expire in 2021, and began to evaluate an array of offers.
However, Napoli began asking for around 50 million euros, and that put off interest from clubs such as Roma, who valued him at roughly half that.
The striker was on the brink of moving to the Roman side, and the door was wide-open, but at the last minute it appeared to get slammed in his face and that has taken its toll.
The attacker, who was also shortlisted by clubs such as PSG and Atletico Madrid, has gone from being a star-man on the transfer market to being without a team, because Napoli haven’t included him in their Serie A and Coppa Italia squads.
Despite this, Milik will have to keep training, knowing that there is no place for him at Napoli, in order to dip his foot in the January transfer window. He may even have to wait until Summer 2021, when he will be able to leave as a free agent.
